Artistic Programs & Learning

Even Serpents
Get The Blues

Even Serpents Get The Blues is River Garden’s summer launch program.

We’re all freaks in one way or another, says the Countess. This is sacred information. Who calls mercy, who smells magic? Why are the snakes moving to the coast, taking an interest in the minor third? The invitation is to drift and be filled with clues.

A summer performance program at River Garden with the lineup to be announced soon.

Launching early December.

Food & Drinks

Weed pie $5
Saltbush & fingerlime soda $5

Garden Club
Garden Club is a study group facilitated by Roslyn Orlando.

Over eight weeks we will meet at River Garden to unpack some of the current cultural and political aspects of gardening.

We will engage with texts spanning literature and film, botany and horticulture, academia and cultural critique. Our collective learning will be centred on the Melbounre/Narrm context, with forays into international histories, lineages and gardening practices that might inform how we garden today.

The fee for participation will be $15 per week.

Places will be limited to 20 participants.

Expressions of interest for 2027 will be open soon.
